Harvardintegrations is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support safety program implementation and monitoring. You will conduct audits, provide training, and help develop policies to ensure adherence to safety protocols across the facility.

The role requires facilitating safety meetings, maintaining records, and coordinating drills while staying current with OSHA and EPA standards applicable to manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in environmental health and safety.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, but not required.
• EMT-A or Paramedic certification highly desired with a willingness to learn occupational safety standards.
• Knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards as applicable to manufacturing.
• Ability to train, motivate, and influence team members.

Responsabilités

• Assist in developing and implementing safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct routine safety audits and inspections for compliance.
• Provide basic safety training to employees.
• Assist in investigating accidents and incidents and document findings.
• Monitor safety equipment and supplies; maintain PPE inventory.
• Coordinate emergency response drills and maintain records.
• Support Safety Manager in analyzing safety performance metrics.
• Promote safety practices among employees.
• Stay updated on safety regulations and best practices.
• Conduct jobsite safety evaluations across multiple areas.
• Lead safety meetings addressing on-site deficiencies.

Available Shift- Monday-Friday 3:00pm-12:00am

The Safety Coordinator supports the implementation and monitoring of the organization's safety programs. This role is responsible for conducting basic safety audits, providing safety training, and assisting in the development of safety policies and procedures. The Safety Coordinator works closely with employees to ensure adherence to safety protocols and helps to identify and address potential hazards.

• Assist in the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct routine safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Provide basic safety training and education to employees.
• Assist in investigating accidents and incidents, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
• Monitor and maintain safety equipment and supplies.
• Assist in the development of emergency response plans and coordinate drills.
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities.
• Support the Safety Manager in analyzing safety performance metrics.
• Promote awareness of safety practices and protocols among employees.
• Stay informed about current safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Performs jobsite Safety Evaluations in multiple areas.
• Conduct safety meetings as a result of a safety deficiency on site.
• Performs PPE inspections when applicable and maintain log with inspection dates.
• Responsible for purchasing and distributing safety equipment for employees.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements
