Job summary

Halmar International is seeking a Night Shift Field Safety Coordinator to support overnight safety programs. The role conducts field observations, ensures compliance with OSHA/Cal/OSHA, and assists supervision with hazard mitigation, while promoting a proactive safety culture on site.

The position partners with craft personnel, supervisors, subcontractors, and project management to maintain a safe, productive work environment and to respond effectively to incidents during the night shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; safety coursework preferred.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification required.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification required or within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Lead safety discussions, toolbox talks, and safety orientations.
• Investigate incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain safety documentation and reports, including OSHA logs and training records.
• Coordinate emergency response activities and participate in drills and exercises.
• Provide safety coaching and mentoring to field personnel during overnight operations.
