M. J. Electric, LLC in Massachusetts seeks a Safety & Health Field Coordinator with a passion for quality construction.

This role administers a comprehensive safety management system for electrical industrial construction and maintenance, collaborating with the Manager Safety & Health - Industrial, Project Managers, Superintendents, and craft personnel. You will promote safe practices, conduct on-site audits, assist in incident investigations, train staff, and help integrate safety into project

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to work with IBEW union craft personnel.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Extensive travel is required.
• CUSP (Certified Utility Safety Professional) certificate is required.
• 5-10 years of construction safety experience.

Responsibilities

• Assistance with new hire general safety orientation.
• Coordination of on-site safety meetings and conducting safety training.
• Supporting incident investigation efforts.
• Conducting and documenting on-site safety audits and providing safety technical support.
• Recordkeeping and reporting.
• Promoting proactive and preventive safety activities by observing, analyzing, encouraging safe work behaviors and correcting unsafe conditions.
• Integrating safety into project plans, establishing safety goals, reinforcing safety policies and procedures, monitoring safety metrics.
• Supporting and coaching supervisors and employees.
• Providing feedback to encourage learning, monitoring safety compliance and creating awareness.
• Setting priorities that focus on continuous improvement.

About this Role - Safety & Health Coordinator

This position is responsible for the administration and management of a comprehensive safety management system for electrical industrial construction and maintenance.The Field Safety Coordinator will work closely with the Manager Safety & Health - Industrial, Project Managers, Project Superintendents and craft personnel to promote and ensure safe work practice and conditions.
