Job summary

Asphalt Express, a division of Overland Corporation, seeks a dependable Rail Terminal Operator to support daily rail terminal operations. Responsibilities include loading/unloading railcars, railcar switching, and steam line work, with emphasis on safety and accurate data entry.

Candidates should have basic computer skills and familiarity with railcar procedures. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to work with railcars handling liquid asphalt, fuels, or similar materials, and

Qualifications

• Knowledge of railcar loading, unloading and transloading procedures.
• Understanding of railcar movement, switching and securement.
• Familiarity with bills of lading, shipping docs, and safety rules.
• Ability to learn company software and log data accurately.

Responsibilities

• Safely load, unload, and transload railcars.
• Assist with railcar switching, movement, spotting, couplings, and securement.
• Connect/disconnect steam lines to railcars per procedures.
• Inspect equipment and monitor product transfers for safety.
• Enter information into computer systems for release and tracking.
• Complete electronic safety reports on time and accurately.
• Maintain accurate bill of lading (BOL) information.
• Communicate with supervisors, drivers, railroad personnel, and customers.
