Job summary

Sunoco LP is seeking a Terminal Operator to manage receipt and shipment of asphalt and petroleum products by barge, rail, pipeline, and truck. You will support inventory reporting, environmental compliance, and safety initiatives under the Terminal Manager's guidance.

The role involves hands-on operations, safety training, and collaboration with drivers and contractors to maintain efficient terminal performance.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Answer after-hour calls (24/7).
• Oversee valve alignments inside terminal to ensure product integrity.
• Use Terminal Automation System to prepare inventory and balance reports.
• Submit daily reports to Sunoco personnel.
• Provide customers with throughput and inventory information.
• Assist with product blending and transfers as instructed.
• Operate loading/unloading equipment for trucks and barges.
• Assist with barge receipts/deliveries and forklift operations.
• Maintain loading rack equipment and ensure safety compliance.
• Train new drivers on automation, loading equipment, and emergency features.
• Conduct safety watches with contractors and ensure equipment is functional.
