Job summary

Sunoco LP is seeking a Terminal Operator to manage the receipt and shipment of asphalt and petroleum products by barge, rail, pipeline and truck. The role includes accountability for inventory reports, maintenance and compliance.

You will support blending, transfers, and safety programs, operate forklifts and respond to after-hour calls, with focus on accurate reporting and adherence to regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; one year experience in terminal operations preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent PC skills, with proficiency in Microsoft products.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to independently proof work for accuracy.
• Initiative and organizational abilities required for meeting deadlines and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Respond to after-hour calls 24/7.
• Manage valve alignments inside the terminal to ensure proper handling and storage of products.
• Use the Terminal Automation System to prepare inventory and balance reports.
• Forward daily inventory and accounting reports to NuStar personnel.
• Ensure customers receive information on throughput and inventory.
• Sample and analyze product as directed by the Terminal Manager.
• Assist with product blending and transfers as instructed.
• Operate forklifts and other machinery as needed.
• Conduct safety watches with outside contractors as directed by the Terminal Manager.
• Ensure environmental and safety equipment is functioning properly.
