Job summary

Kraft Heinz Kendallville Plant is seeking a staff specialist-level Maintenance Manager to direct reliability and maintenance activities across the plant. You will oversee budgets, MRO, and capital projects, ensuring safe, efficient operation and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include leading maintenance staff, coordinating downtime, and driving continuous improvement through Six Sigma/Lean methods. Strong leadership, engineering knowledge, and CMMS proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred; focus in Engineering or related technical field highly preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years’ leadership experience within a manufacturing environment required.
• 5+ years of maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment required.
• Extensive knowledge: Packaging/Mechanical Operations, Electrical maintenance, Instrumentation, Electronics/Controls, and Utility Systems, boiler and ammonia refrigeration.
• Interpersonal and communications skills to motivate, empower, train, direct, lead, evaluate and coach a diverse group of team members.
• Ability to plan and manage through change within large enterprise organizations.
• MS Office and CMMS experience and proficiency required.
• Ability to manage a continuous operation (24 hrs, 7 days per week).

Responsibilities

• Direct all reliability and maintenance activities to maximize plant operation.
• Manage Maintenance Business Management, MRO inventory, and maintenance budgeting.
• Oversee capital budgets for maintenance-related items in concert with engineering.
• Maintain safety as the top priority for all maintenance and utility activities.
• Coordinate major maintenance and downtime with production and engineering.
• Train maintenance staff on CMMS, problem solving, risk analysis, scheduling, and data review.
• Set and evaluate departmental goals with leadership and plant management.
• Lead QRMP implementation and ensure adherence to standards.
• Partner with leadership on reliability improvements and Six Sigma/Lean initiatives.
• Manage performance, development, and succession plans for maintenance staff.
