Job summary

Pike Electric LLC in Austin, TX is seeking a safety‑minded Foreman to lead a crew on overhead distribution projects. You will work on energized lines and may travel to different job sites, including out-of-state locations, as needed, reporting to the General Foreman.

You will supervise installation and repair of overhead power lines, ensure safety, coordinate pre‑job briefings, and manage project quality and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of recent overhead line experience.
• Proficient in basic computer operations including Microsoft Word.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Extended periods at job locations, including out-of-state assignments.
• Willing to work outside normal hours, weekends and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead crew members and conduct pre-job and tailgate safety briefings.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators and conductors.
• Coach and train lower classification employees in safe procedures.
• Oversee project quality and deadlines.
• Operate bucket trucks and other overhead line equipment.
• Perform live-line work using gloving and hot-stick techniques.
• Follow all safety protocols and PPE requirements.
• Travel to job sites, outages, and storms as needed.
