Job summary

ARCO Design/Build in Memphis is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to lead field activities, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure safety, schedule, and budget goals are met on our industrial and design/build projects.

You'll work with project managers, owners, and design teams, gain exposure to full project lifecycles, and develop leadership skills in a fast-paced environment supported by our strong compensation, benefits, and ESOP opportunities.

Qualifications

• Recent or soon-to-be graduate of an accredited Civil/Construction program.
• Interest in design/build, tilt-up concrete, industrial builds.
• Previous construction experience preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license in your state of residence.
• GPA 3.0+ preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook and MS Project.
• Excellent verbal communication, attention to detail and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Preconstruction planning and reviewing project details.
• Develop construction schedules with the Project Manager.
• Oversee daily field activities to meet safety, timeline and budget.
• Coordinate subcontractors and trade work across site.
• Assist with material deliveries, shop drawing approvals and submittals.
• Track job progress, costs, and field purchase orders.
• Maintain communication with owners, architects, and stakeholders.
• Lead and participate in jobsite coordination meetings.
• Maintain daily reports and site records, including safety.
