Job summary

Amazon is hiring a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist to advance the safety culture across sites. You will lead audits, investigations, and risk assessments while designing engaging training to reduce injuries and maintain productivity.

As the safety champion, you’ll build strong relationships with frontline teams and leadership to drive positive behavioral changes and safety best practices. Flex shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in an EHS-related background or 1 year in an EHS field, or 6 months in an Amazon safety role.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910.
• Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacity.
• Experience maintaining confidentiality in workplace matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
• Deliver safety training and promote a proactive safety culture.
• Advocate for associate wellbeing and coach teams on safety best practices.
• Translate safety data into narratives to drive engagement and improvements.
• Assist emergency response and support on-site safety operations.
