Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. seeks a qualified United Academy Trainer to deliver world-class safety and equipment operator training. The role partners with Sales, Operations, and customers to design programs, drive training revenue, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or a combination of college and related work experience required.
• Bilingual (Spanish) in select markets may be required or preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience delivering equipment operator, safety, industrial, or workforce development training programs.
• Experience conducting practical evaluations, Train-the-Trainer programs, or competency assessments preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, CSA, MSHA and other safety regs and standards preferred.
• Experience operating and/or training on construction, industrial, material handling, or aerial equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instructor-led safety and equipment operator training programs for customers and United Rentals employees.
• Conduct practical evaluations, Train-the-Trainer programs, and Certified Evaluator certifications.
• Utilize digital learning platforms, LMS, Salesforce, and mobile technologies to manage training activities.
• Adapt training delivery methods to meet customer needs while ensuring compliance and quality.
• Build relationships with customers, branch personnel, and regional stakeholders to identify opportunities.
• Support revenue growth and cross-functional collaboration with Sales and Operations.
