Job summary

GROWMARK, Inc. is seeking a Safety and Environmental Compliance professional to assist in the development and implementation of safety programs and to execute related assessments across the FS System.

The role emphasizes evaluating policies, providing training, and supporting risk management reviews while staying current with environmental and safety laws affecting operations. A bachelor’s degree or 2+ years in the field is required, along with travel ability and MS 365 proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, environmental, or industrial technology or equivalent, or 2 years or more of advanced safety, environmental or OSHA related experience to demonstrate ability to train safety, environmental and compliance.
• Ability to obtain the HAZWOPER 24-hour certification within 1 year of employment.
• Ability to conduct effective presentations and training.
• Requires professional communication and customer service skills.
• Requires organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Requires the ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Requires proficiency with Microsoft 365 suite.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and ability to travel independently.

Responsibilities

• Assists in evaluation, development, and implementation of safety standards and expectations.
• Develops and implements annual Risk Management Reviews/Plans.
• Monitors environmental and safety laws and regulations affecting compliance programs.
• Provides local training across the GROWMARK and FS System.
• Collaborates in standardized inspections, audits, and assessments.
• Conducts job hazard assessments and monitors CFATS and DOT requirements.
• Develops environmental procedures for new facilities and updates existing ones.
• Responds to crisis emergencies as needed.
