Mortenson is seeking a Safety Engineer II who will implement the Zero Injury Safety program across project sites in the United States. The role requires interaction with staff at all levels, proactive safety leadership, and a commitment to confidentiality in a dynamic construction environment.

The position supports rotational travel (3 weeks on, 4 days off) across projects nationwide, with base pay ranging from $81,400 to $110,400 depending on location and experience, and eligibility for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, occupational health, or related field is required.
• OSHA 30 Hour or CHST/STS certification with 5+ years leading safety programs required.
• Must be able to travel up to 100% and interact with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Implement and administer safety programs at each worksite.
• Assist project management in site-specific safety plans.
• Conduct safety orientation and training at project level.
• Document safety violations and hazardous conditions.
• Perform safety audits and data analysis.
• Coordinate OSHA reporting and postings.
