INEOS Oxide in the United States seeks a Safety Engineer to lead plant-wide safety and fire protection, enforcing OSHA and NFPA standards and guiding the ERT. The role supports site health and safety teams, contract safety programs, and regulatory compliance across our US operations in League City, TX.

Responsibilities include audits, incident investigations, risk assessments, and development of safe work practices, with mentoring for continuous safety improvement.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or health and safety.
• 6+ years of Occupational Safety & Health experience in a chemical facility or refinery.
• Board-Certified Credentialed Safety Professional (ASP) preferred.
• Experience as firefighter, HAZMAT and rescue technician.
• Knowledge of manufacturing operations and project management.
• Experience developing and implementing safety procedures and emergency preparedness plans.

Responsabilidades

• Lead site safety and fire protection programs and ensure OSHA/NFPA compliance.
• Coordinate and lead safety and health audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
• Develop, implement, and maintain contractor safety management and work permit systems.
• Manage Emergency Response Team (ERT) training and readiness; oversee safety investigations and MOC/PSSR activities.
• Mentor and coach safety team members; foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
