Job summary

Olin is seeking a Safety Engineer Co-Op in Oxford, MS for Spring 2027. The role focuses on assisting the EH&S team with safety investigations, training development, and ergonomic assessments to promote a safe work environment.

You will lead multiple hands-on projects, investigate incidents, and help create corrective actions. The program requires ITAR clearance eligibility and offers a housing stipend.

Qualifications

• GPA 3.0 or higher at all times; official transcript required each term.
• Sophomore year completed (60 credits) prior to first rotation.
• Experience with ammunition/firearms industry preferred.
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) during rotation; no virtual work.
• Access to ITAR controlled technical data; employment contingent on export license.

Responsibilities

• Lead a minimum of three hands-on safety projects during the rotation.
• Investigate safety incidents, identify root causes, recommend corrective actions.
• Assist in developing new hire training and participate in FMEA discussions.
• Conduct ergonomic assessments using software and NIOSH techniques.
