Job summary

Texas Materials, A CRH company, seeks a seasoned EHS leader to drive safety training, compliance and continuous improvement across all Texas facilities and operations. The role partners with management to enforce regulations and promote a culture of safety.

The ideal candidate brings a Bachelor's degree in safety and 5+ years of managerial experience, with strong coaching, communication and multitasking abilities and a commitment to OSHA/MSHA/FMCSA standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an occupational safety-related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of managerial experience in safety for a large team.
• Thorough understanding of federal, state, local and company regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide training, oversight and compliance support to all lines of business and facilities.
• Conduct site visits to ensure safety compliance and promote safety philosophies.
• Lead coaching of management and employees on safe behaviors and conditions.
• Oversee contractors' safety qualifications, insurance and high-hazard work.
• Conduct periodic audits, document findings and track corrective actions.
• Coordinate safety pre-planning for large projects and subcontractor presence.
• Develop and share best practices across facilities and operations.
• Lead safety training programs and Train-the-Trainer initiatives.
• Oversee driver training and motor carrier compliance (USDOT & TXDOT).
• Collaborate with HR, EHS and safety teams on new safety initiatives.
