Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist (WHSS) to lead safety programs, audits, and investigations across sites. You will partner with leaders to build a proactive safety culture while ensuring operational efficiency and compliance.

The role emphasizes data-driven improvements, strong communication, and incident analysis. Flexibility for varied shifts and readiness to obtain required certifications are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year in an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) related field, or a Bachelor’s degree in an EHS-related background, or 6 months in a safety-related role within Amazon.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety programs and daily audits, investigations, and risk assessments with data-driven strategies.
• Advocate for associates’ wellbeing and foster a culture where safety is everyone's priority.
• Translate safety data into compelling narratives to drive safety initiatives and engagement.
