Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist (WHSS) to lead safety programs, audits, risk assessments, and training at its Virginia operations. You will collaborate with site leadership to protect colleagues and drive data-driven improvements that sustain safety and productivity.

The role requires knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910, at least 1 year in an EHS-related field (or 6 months at Amazon), strong communication, and the ability to respond effectively to emergencies

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor's in an EHS-related field preferred.
• 1 year EHS or 6 months Amazon safety experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910.
• Proficient with Word and Excel.
• Experience maintaining confidentiality in sensitive matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety audits, investigations, and risk assessments.
• Deliver engaging safety training for associates.
• Advise and advocate for associate wellbeing and safety culture.
• Develop and implement safety programs with data-driven improvements.
• Support emergency response and incident management at the site.
