Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist (WHSS) to innovate safety culture at a busy Perrysburg site. You will lead safety programs, conduct daily safety audits, investigate incidents, and perform risk assessments to prevent injuries while supporting productive operations.

You will deliver engaging safety training, advocate for associates’ wellbeing, and transform safety data into actionable insights. Flexible shifts and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year in an Environmental Health & Safety field, or a Bachelor's degree in EHS-related background, or 6 months experience in a safety role at Amazon.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations specifically 29 CFR 1910.
• Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacity.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in matters involving security and/or personnel issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily safety audits, investigations, and risk assessments.
• Deliver safety training and promote a proactive safety culture.
• Develop and implement data-driven safety programs.
• Advise associates on safety and build partnerships across the organization.
• Support emergency response and communicate safety updates.
