Qualifications

• Supervisory/management experience required with ability to build a team focused on continuous improvement.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on work ethic.
• Analytical problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with other departments.
• Monitor and manage inventory controls.
• Must be able to communicate with customers.
• Must be able to travel occasionally to company meetings and other plant locations.

Responsibilities

• Oversees supervision of plant personnel in a two-shift operation.
• Establishes/maintains an accident-free work environment.
• Responsible for supervision of plant personnel and manufacturing equipment.
• Ensures products meet quality control standards.
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain sufficient inventory for customer needs.
• Review accuracy of data for daily production reports.
• Oversees weekly payroll, annual reviews and follows through on disciplinary action.
• Monitors daily line output, units per man hour, breakage and raw material variances.
• Recruitment of new hires to fill vacant and seasonal positions as required.
• Participates in monthly plant safety meetings.
• Conducts monthly safety inspections.
• Ensures OSHA/EPA compliance; reports machinery problems to maintenance and follows up on repairs.
