Job summary

United Concrete is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead our precast concrete manufacturing facility. You’ll own safety, production, quality, and profitability while leading a team of 8-10+ employees.

You’ll drive a zero-incident safety culture, ensure OSHA/EPA compliance, and maintain PCI/NPCA certifications to meet specs and DOT standards. You will manage the plant’s P&L, budget, and inventory while partnering with sales and engineering to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing management experience, including 3+ years in precast/prestressed concrete.
• Proven P&L and budget responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of concrete mix designs, formwork, reinforcing, and curing.
• Track record of improving safety, quality, and on-time delivery.
• Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent experience).
• Bonus points: PCI/NPCA certifications, Lean/Six Sigma, bilingual English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Lead all daily plant operations: production scheduling, batching, casting, curing, finishing, and shipping.
• Drive a zero-incident safety culture and ensure OSHA/EPA compliance.
• Maintain PCI/NPCA certifications and ensure products meet specs and DOT standards.
• Manage plant P&L, budget, labor costs, and raw material inventory.
• Oversee preventive maintenance for batch plant, cranes, forms, and yard equipment.
• Hire, train, and develop supervisors and hourly staff.
• Partner with sales, engineering, and project management to meet customer deadlines.
