Job summary

Amcor in Wisconsin is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead shift production, drive safety, quality and productivity, and supervise teams, equipment, and materials per company policies and customer needs. The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 2+ years in operations or 5+ years total, MS Office and SAP experience was preferred.

Strong communication, problem solving, and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 2 years’ experience in operations, production supervision, quality, maintenance or related experience preferred OR equivalent combination totaling 5+ years
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Computer proficiency with MS Office; SAP experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Act as a safety leader and prioritize safety in all responsibilities, in collaboration with EHS Manager.
• Monitor colleague practices to ensure compliance with safety and quality policies.
• Investigate near-miss, property damage, or injury incidents and recommend improvements.
• Participate in daily audits, GEMBAs, incident investigations, and continuous improvement programs.
• Monitor production to verify conformance to specifications and oversee daily production.
• Manage timecards and time-off requests to ensure accurate payroll and coverage.
• Champion continuous improvement projects and sustain gains.
• Manage daily production schedules and suggest efficiency improvements.
• Interact with maintenance and process engineering to resolve equipment issues.
• Investigate and report when production standards are not met.
• Analyze production data using dashboards and SAP.
• Foster a High Performance Culture and promote teamwork in each work group.
• Supervise production staff and address employee relations opportunities.
• Ensure adherence to Amcor’s Values and maintain open two-way dialogue with colleagues.
• Evaluate performance and conduct reviews to support growth and development.
• Enforce disciplinary processes consistently and fairly.
• Ensure training is current and retained by employees
