Courtyard by Marriott Walla Walla, managed by Northwest x Southern Hospitality, seeks a Chief Engineer/Maintenance Manager to oversee daily maintenance operations, safety programs, and guest room/public space upkeep. You will lead staff, train teams, and manage vendor relations to ensure top service and compliance.

Qualified candidates bring 5+ years in hospitality, a strong guest focus, and broad knowledge of facility trades with basic electrical/plumbing/carpentry/mechanical understanding.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; hospitality degree preferred.
• 5+ years in hospitality.
• Experience as a hotel manager, assistant manager, or department manager.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven customer service experience with a guest-focused mindset.
• Good knowledge of facility trades and basic electrical/plumbing/carpentry/mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage maintenance department daily activities and guest room/public spaces upkeep.
• Plan and execute safety, fire life safety trainings and programs.
• Develop and maintain vendor relationships and property data systems.
• Interview, train, supervise, discipline, and evaluate maintenance staff.
