Job summary

Courtyard by Marriott Champaign/Fairfield Inn & Suites is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead maintenance operations, ensuring the property meets brand standards and guest comfort in Champaign, IL.

You’ll plan and supervise preventative maintenance, manage energy and materials, and collaborate with fellow departments to support profitability and safety. Previous hotel engineering experience preferred; EPA/HVAC certifications encouraged.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance, engineering, or facilities management; brand hotel experience preferred.
• Proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead hotel maintenance operations and enforce brand and Prominence Hospitality standards (as applicable).
• Drive preventative maintenance programs for building systems and guest areas.
• Monitor labor, materials, and energy usage to support profitability and safety.
• Collaborate with other departments for aligned maintenance goals.
• Provide technical support and lead emergency maintenance as needed.
• Foster a safety-conscious, high-quality team environment.
