Prominence Hospitality Group’s Courtyard by Marriott Champaign/Fairfield Inn & Suites in Champaign, IL is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the property’s maintenance operations, ensuring brand and company standards are met and guest comfort is prioritized.

You will plan preventative maintenance, manage budgets and team policies, collaborate cross-functionally, and act as a visible leader focused on safety, quality, and accountability for a busy hotel.

Qualifications

• HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and mechanical systems proficiency.
• Ability to read technical manuals and blueprints.
• Proven leadership in a maintenance or facilities role.
• Experience in brand hotel maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead hotel maintenance operations and enforce standards.
• Drive preventative maintenance across building systems.
• Monitor labor, materials and energy usage while ensuring safety.
• Collaborate with departments to align maintenance goals.
• Support emergency maintenance and cross‑functional projects.
