Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Production Superintendent for the Prosperity Plywood facility in Prosperity, SC. The role leads a production department in a continuous manufacturing environment, driving safety, accountability, and continuous improvement aligned with PBM principles.

You will champion a culture of safety and optimize constraining processes to support safe, efficient, and reliable operations, while developing people and managing maintenance planning in a 24/7 plant.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in supervisory or similar leadership in manufacturing.
• Experience growing frontline leaders in a manufacturing process.
• Ability to analyze production data to cut waste and improve processes.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Lead a production department in a continuous manufacturing environment.
• Drive safety excellence through involvement, ownership and accountability.
• Ensure area operates efficiently meeting benchmarks and milestones.
• Prioritize work orders to improve machine center availability.
• Use GP Work Processes to plan jobs and track work.
• Develop teams through coaching, feedback, and evaluations.
• Motivate employees to contribute to long-term mill value.
• Own data accuracy for departmental performance reporting.
• Maintain 24/7 schedule flexibility to support operations.
