Job summary

Eagle Fire Inc. in Richmond, VA is seeking an experienced safety professional to join the Safety Department overseeing VA locations. You will support safety programs, conduct site inspections, and help ensure a hazard-free work environment in the growing fire protection field.

The role emphasizes collaboration with the Safety Manager, incident investigation, and adherence to OSHA/IMSHA/EM-385 standards, with opportunities for professional growth across multiple states.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant safety experience and/or training.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Practical knowledge of fire protection codes and standards.
• Ability to interact with all levels of staff and stakeholders.
• Ability to adapt to change, resolve conflicts and solve problems with minimal direction.
• Proficient computer skills including MS Office and databases.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Safety Manager in maintaining an injury- and incident-free workplace by overseeing safety programs and site safety.
• Conduct periodic inspections of facilities and vehicles for safety compliance.
• Perform job site safety inspections.
• Conduct worksite risk assessments and identify potential hazards.
• Investigate safety incidents as they arise.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, IMSHA, EM-385 standards.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Safety Manager in facilitating an injury and incident-free workplace by evaluating, monitoring, accounting for, and assisting with all aspects of occupational safety programs and site safety.
• Conduct periodic inspections of facilities and vehicles for safety compliance
• Conduct job site safety inspections
• Conduct worksite risk assessments, identifying and controlling potential hazards
• Investigate safety incidents as they arise
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, IMSHA, EM-385
• Performs other related duties as required.

• Must be able to work in extremely hot and extremely cold temperatures.
• Must be able to work while exposed to loud sounds and noise levels.
