Responsibilities
What You'll Be Doing:
- Safety Culture Champion: Lead the charge in building a safety-first mindset across all projects, ensuring a workplace that is injury-free and thriving.
- Training and Guidance: Provide expert advice and coaching on health and safety training programs, addressing regulatory requirements and job-specific safety concerns. You'll be the go-to person for all things safety-related!
- Collaboration: Work closely with company leadership, supervisors, and project teams to integrate safety considerations into processes, making sure safety is at the forefront of every operation.
- Regulatory Compliance: Partner with regulatory agencies such as DOT, EPA, and OSHA to manage compliance effectively. Your expertise will ensure our facilities meet and exceed safety standards.
- Ongoing Compliance: Take charge of OSHA compliance, including new hire training, PPE implementation, material handling, and more. Be the driving force behind a safe and secure work environment.
- Incident Management: Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Your proactive approach will keep our team safe and thriving.
- Employee Support: Consult with operations management to oversee and manage injured employees through the transitional restricted work and return-to-work process. Your guidance will make a difference.
Qualifications
What We're Looking For:
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, or health and safety. Health and safety-related certifications (CSP) are a plus or a willingness to pursue.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in health and safety management for projects and construction. Familiarity with contractor management, prequalification programs, and dealing with regulatory agencies (OSHA, EPA, DOT) is essential.
