Job Overview

The Safety Coordinator reports to the Safety Manager. Responsibilities focus on maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring OSHA compliance. The role involves hands-on interaction with field personnel and management daily.

Essential Job Functions
  1. Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with regulations, laws, standards, policies, and procedures.
  2. Provide technical expertise to managers and supervisors to eliminate or control unsafe behaviors, environments, and hazards.
  3. Conduct periodic and unscheduled surveys and inspections of projects.
  4. Perform hazard analyses of project operations.
  5. Assist in updating and maintaining the safety manual.
  6. Develop and conduct risk assessments and Job Task Analyses.
  7. Coordinate safety training and promote safety awareness company-wide.
  8. Assist in safe placement and job assignment of personnel.
  9. Maintain accident records.
  10. Investigate accidents, incidents, injuries, and illnesses.
  11. Advise on safety corrections within a team environment.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Required
  • At least 2 years of experience with OSHA regulations and safety procedures.
  • Understanding of Workers’ Compensation.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Supportive of collaborative problem-solving.
  • Ability to train groups of 25-30 people.
  • Adaptability to changing environments.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work effectively with all company levels.
  • High energy and self-motivation.
Preferred
  • Certified OSHA Outreach Trainer for Construction (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Google Apps and internet navigation.
