Job summary

Greiner Industries, Inc. is seeking a Safety Coordinator to join our team on the 1st shift.

The role focuses on reviewing, evaluating, and analyzing workplace environments to develop and implement programs that prevent injury and illness across manufacturing, transportation, field operations, and jobsites. The Safety Coordinator conducts safety audits, incident investigations, and trainings, maintains records and PPE inventories, and supports continuous improvement of safety programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years experience in safety administration in fabrication/manufacturing.
  • Intermediate MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

  • Promote safe work practices and address safety concerns in facilities and jobsites.
  • Review field safety reports, identify trends, and develop toolbox talks and safety communications.
  • Conduct safety audits, inspections, observations, and facility walkthroughs; track corrective actions.
  • Support site safety activities, including site inspections, JSA reviews, safety meetings, and coaching.
  • Deliver safety trainings and maintain training records, certifications, qualifications, and compliance documentation.
  • Manage PPE, safety supplies, first‑aid materials, respirators, and related inventories.
  • Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking.
  • Prepare reports and support continuous improvement of safety and compliance programs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Safety Coordinator

Overview

Greiner Industries is seeking a skilled Safety Coordinator to join our team. The Safety Coordinator is responsible for reviewing, evaluating, and analyzing workplace environments to develop and implement programs that prevent injury, illness, and unsafe conditions. The Safety Specialist provides hands‑on support for safety programs across manufacturing, transportation, field operations, and jobsites through inspections, training, incident investigations, compliance monitoring, and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a safety resource for employees and supervisors by promoting safe work practices and addressing safety concerns in facilities and jobsites.
  • Review daily field safety reports, identify trends, and develop toolbox talks and safety communications.
  • Conduct safety audits, inspections, observations, and facility walkthroughs; track and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Support jobsite safety activities, including site inspections, JSA reviews, safety meetings, and employee coaching.
  • Deliver and coordinate safety training programs, including new‑hire orientation and required equipment and driver training.
  • Maintain training records, certifications, qualifications, and compliance documentation.
  • Manage PPE, safety supplies, first‑aid materials, respirators, and related inventories.
  • Assist with incident investigations, documentation, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking
  • Prepare reports, maintain safety records, and support continuous improvement of safety and compliance programs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • 2+ years experience of safety administration experience in fabrication/manufacturing industry (preferred).
  • Intermediate skills in MS Office suite.
