Job summary

LSG Sky Chefs in Miami, FL is seeking a Safety Coordinator to monitor driver SOP compliance and support safety operations on-site. You will train new drivers on SOPs, maintain driver files, and process Port Authority/Customs identifications.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, ability to obtain SIDA badge and CBP Customs Seal within 30 days, and 3–5 years of safety experience; proficiency in MS Excel/Word/Outlook is a plus. You must be flexible to work nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain Airport SIDA badge and CBP Customs Seal within 30 days.
• 3–5 years of safety experience; ramp experience may substitute.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Detail oriented with strong analytical, verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Open availability, nights and weekends as operations require.
• Spanish-speaking a plus.

Responsibilities

• SOP training for all new drivers and re-training.

• Ensuring state inspections, registrations and Insurance IDs for trucks are current.
• Ensuring drivers adhere to A-1 Inspection procedures.

Role Purpose Statement Administrative position with responsibility for monitoring driver SOP and working with the department to ensure compliance in addition to maintaining & monitoring employee safety

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• 3-5 years of safety experience preferred; AOA ramp experience may be substituted year for year for Safety experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and other computer applications
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
• Strong analytical, verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Detail oriented
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with large groups – must be flexible
• Open availability, ability to work nights and weekends as operations require
• Bilingual, Spanish Speaking a plus
