Job summary

CB&I in The Woodlands, TX, is seeking an HSES Training Specialist to develop and deliver safety training, translate regulations into accessible materials, and track certifications across a global program. The role reports to the Senior Director HSES and collaborates with operations, IT, and HR.

Responsibilities include creating interactive training, conducting OSHA compliance sessions, managing LMS, updating content, and identifying training gaps with site managers to improve safety performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in safety/environmental field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5+ years in safety training delivery, preferably in manufacturing, construction, or oil & gas.
• Experience with LMS, digital training platforms, and tracking certifications.
• Certifications CSP or OSHA Outreach Trainer preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and update interactive training materials based on needs and regulatory changes.
• Conduct instructor-led, virtual, and hands-on safety training sessions.
• Instruct on HSES protocols, including OSHA standards and emergency response.
• Administer LMS, track training matrices, and maintain certifications.
• Update training materials to reflect standards and site hazards.
• Partner with site managers to identify training gaps.
• Use inspections and investigations to create targeted training.
• Perform gap analyses to identify competencies and trends.
• Assist senior HSE specialists with audits and drills.
