Job summary

Cotton Holdings, Inc. is seeking an experienced HSE Specialist to join the Safety team in Houston, TX. This role focuses on rolling out safety, health and environmental objectives across our operations and sites, ensuring compliance and incident prevention.

You will develop and implement the HSE Management System, conduct risk assessments and trainings, and collaborate with operations to drive continuous safety improvements aligned with company goals.

Qualifications

• Requires 2-5 years of experience progressively responsible in Safety, Environmental, and Risk Management.
• Experience in Construction industry preferred.
• Experience in General industry (warehousing, manufacturing) a plus.
• Background in environmental is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing the Cotton HSE Management System.
• Effectively communicate with leadership regarding HSE metrics and policies.
• Apply safety efforts to support company policies with incident prevention focus.
• Support Site-specific Safety Plans and Job Hazard Analyses as applicable.
• Conduct on-site risk assessments and Job Hazard Analyses to identify hazards.
• Ensure compliance of employees and contractors with HSE regulations and policy.
• Stop work when HSE violations occur and advise operations personnel.
• Conduct safety meetings and toolbox talks with employees and contractors.
• Perform site inspections, assessments and audits for HSE compliance.
• Apply controls to mitigate identified risks and enforce policy.
• Investigate incidents and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
• Provide safety training/refresher training for employees.
• Interact with officials when needed.
• Maintain OSHA records where applicable.
• Drive safety culture aligned with organizational goals.
