Job summary

Thayer Power & Communication Line Construction Co., LLC (TPC) seeks a Safety Manager to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, manage OSHA recordkeeping, and lead safety programs on job sites.

The role involves developing training, conducting site inspections, and advising management on hazard controls while coordinating with clients and vendors to maintain safe work practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline is required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in utilities or construction safety.
• CHST, CUSP (Electric T&D endorsement) preferred; 510 training preferred.
• Knowledge of Federal and State safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws and codes.
• Manage OSHA recordkeeping, reporting, and employee training requirements.
• Develop and deliver safety training for new employee orientation.
• Conduct onsite safety inspections and report findings.
• Coordinate safety measures with clients and vendors.
• Prepare detailed incident reports and escalate issues as needed.
• Collaborate with management to improve hazard controls and processes.
