Job summary

Thayer Power and Communication Line Construction Company, Inc. is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support field teams by enforcing safety compliance and driving a culture of safety.

You will oversee OSHA recordkeeping, lead safety training, investigate incidents, and collaborate with management to improve regulatory compliance.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in health and safety (or equivalent), knowledge of federal and state rules, and relevant certifications; based in Warren, MI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health and safety or equivalent.
• Knowledge of federal and state safety regulations.
• CHST and/or CUSP or other equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement safety policies and procedures with management.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and rules.
• Complete OSHA recordkeeping and reporting.
• Complete client-required training/orientation for safety and environmental.
• Conduct and oversee accident investigations and prepare reports for client's portal.
• Identify opportunities to minimize workplace injuries and health issues.
• Train employees on applicable safety standards.
• Review training and update as needed.
• Conduct safety inspections, observations, and audits to assess compliance and identify improvements.
• Manage customer required system compliance.
