Job summary

Reworld is seeking a Safety Coordinator to lead and optimize the facility's safety and health programs. You will educate staff on safety standards, supervise audits, and coordinate training and medical surveillance to ensure a compliant, safe workplace.

The role requires a strong background in industrial safety, knowledge of OSHA 1910, and the ability to work flexible hours to support operations. A Bachelor's degree in safety and health is preferred, with a High School diploma as a minimum.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; Bachelor's degree in safety and health or science-related discipline preferred.
• Practical knowledge of OSHA 1910 and related local safety and health regulations.
• Experience in heavy industrial environments; power plant or energy-from-waste facilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the facility's safety and health programs and educate staff.
• Conduct safety observations, audits, and reports; follow up on issues.
• Provide safety training for new hires and contractor safety briefings.
• Coordinate annual medical surveillance, respirator fit testing, noise and IH sampling, and drills.
• Investigate accidents and assist with OSHA reporting and program recertification.
• Maintain documentation of safety procedures, tailgate meetings, and records.
• Recommend safety improvements and uphold safety standards.
