Job summary

Reworld is hiring a Safety Coordinator to join our team in Maryland. You will lead safety and health programs, educate staff on safety practices, and coordinate contractor safety and training across the facility.

You will conduct audits, investigations, and trainings, maintain records, and support continuous safety improvements in a heavy industrial environment. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred in safety/health or related field.
• OSHA 1910 knowledge and local safety regulations required.
• 3+ years of safety experience in heavy industrial operations preferred.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Physical demands: lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, work at heights, respirator capable.

Responsibilities

• Lead facility safety and health programs and enforce policies.
• Perform safety observations, audits, reports and follow-ups.
• Educate employees on safety standards and equipment use.
• Deliver safety training for new hires and contractor briefings.
• Coordinate contractor safety, training, and tool/equipment use.
• Prepare monthly safety training and coordinate medical surveillance exams.
• Investigate accidents and support OSHA Voluntary Protection Program reporting.
• Maintain safety documentation and suggest workplace improvements.
