Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Industrial Technology, Occupational Health, or related field preferred.
• 0–2 years of experience in safety, operations, transportation, or administrative coordination.
• Ability to learn and apply UVL safety policies, standards, and procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Comfort with technology and data tools, including Excel and IVMS/telematics platforms.

Responsibilities

• Assist with equipment and vehicle safety inspections and documenting findings.
• Support telematics/IVMS review routines and prepare coaching materials for leaders and drivers.
• Coordinate IVMS-based coaching processes and schedule follow-ups.
• Maintain safety policies across locations and reinforce stop-work expectations.
• Update safety tracking tools and documentation for audit readiness.
• Assist with incident and near-miss documentation and timely routing to Safety Manager.
• Track closure of corrective actions from incidents, audits, inspections, and findings.
• Support safety communications with alerts, toolbox talks, and reminders.
• Assist with data reporting and preparation of safety updates for leadership.
• Provide general coordination and administrative support to the Safety Management team.
• Escalate imminent danger to Operations leadership and Safety Manager.
