Job summary

NGL Transportation is seeking a Safety & Compliance Coordinator for our Mobile, Alabama terminal. This full-time clerical role focuses on monitoring Hours of Service, inspections, maintenance scheduling, and safety documentation to keep operations compliant.

The successful candidate will collaborate with drivers and dispatch, maintain records, conduct safety trainings, and help enforce FMCSA policies across the fleet.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a trucking company.
• General knowledge of trucking operations and DOT/FMCSA regulations.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficient with basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Monitor drivers' Hours of Service (HOS) compliance daily.
• Manage DOT inspections and maintain truck and chassis inspection records.
• Schedule and track Preventive Maintenance (PM), annual truck inspections, and annual chassis inspections.
• Support driver recruiting, onboarding, and update internal safety/compliance records.
• Handle driver warnings, disciplinary actions, and termination documentation.
• Assist dispatch with driver-related issues.
• Manage accident reports and follow-up investigations.
• Conduct quarterly safety meetings and driver safety training.
• Help ensure compliance with FMCSA and company safety policies.
