Job summary

Amazon is hiring a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist (WHSS) to lead safety programs, audits, risk assessments, and trainings at sites across the operation. You will partner with leaders to advocate for associates, analyze safety data, and implement prevention strategies while maintaining productivity and safety standards.

The role requires strong communication, emergency response readiness, and a passion for building a culture where safety is integral to daily operations.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in a safety-related field or related background, or 6 months of safety-related Amazon experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910.
• Experience in emergency response and current First Aid/CPR certifications.
• Strong communication, teamwork, analysis, judgment, and customer focus skills.
• Experience leading and managing a team, analyzing accident data and hazards.
• Experience in workers’ compensation case management.
• Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacity.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
• Deliver engaging safety training and drive continuous improvement in safety programs.
• Collaborate with leadership to foster associate advocacy and a proactive safety culture.
