Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist (WHSS) to drive safety excellence and protect employees across operations. You will lead audits, investigations, risk assessments, and training, while promoting a proactive culture that balances safety with productivity.

The role involves serving as a safety advisor, partnering with frontline teams, and translating data into actionable improvements that protect people and support operations at delivery stations and sites nationwide.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in an Environmental Health & Safety field OR a Bachelor's degree in EHS-related background OR 6 months safety role at Amazon
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations specifically 29 CFR 1910
• Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacity
• Experience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving security and/or personnel issues in the workplace

Responsibilities

• Lead daily safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments with data-driven strategies
• Develop and implement safety programs to improve culture and operational efficiency
• Deliver safety training that resonates with associates and leadership
• Translate safety data into actionable narratives to drive engagement and positive change
• Advocate for associate wellbeing and coach across organizational levels
