Job summary

Amazon’s Workplace Health & Safety Specialist (WHSS) role is to transform safety culture across facilities. You’ll lead safety audits, incident investigations, risk assessments, and training programs that blend technology with people-centered solutions to prevent injuries and boost productivity.

As the building’s safety champion, you’ll partner with associates and leadership, drive data-driven safety programs, and translate safety data into compelling narratives that support rapid emergency

Qualifications

• Experience in environmental health and safety or related field.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations (29 CFR 1910).
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel for professional use.
• Ability to obtain first aid/CPR certification if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments and implement safety training.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workplace safety and productivity.
• Develop and communicate safety metrics and narratives to influence policy and behavior.
• Collaborate with associates and leadership to ensure safety best practices become everyday habits.
