Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist to advance safety culture at our facilities. You will lead safety programs, perform daily safety audits, investigate incidents, and conduct risk assessments while delivering training that protects associates and keeps operations productive.

As the safety champion, you will translate data into actions, influence leadership, and respond to emergencies. The role requires flexible shifts including days, nights, and weekends and may involve

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year in an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) related field OR a Bachelor's degree in an EHS-related background OR 6 months experience in a safety-related role within Amazon.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations specifically 29 CFR 1910.
• Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacity.
• Experience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving security and/or personnel issues in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety programs, daily safety audits, incident investigations and risk assessments with data-driven strategies.
• Deliver safety training that engages associates and promotes a proactive safety culture.
• Advocate for associate wellbeing and build partnerships across the organization to drive behavioral safety changes.
• Support emergency response activities and coordinate site safety during incidents.
