Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC seeks a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist to lead safety programs, audits, and incident investigations at our Connecticut facilities. The role focuses on transforming workplace safety through technology and human-centered solutions, enhancing safety culture while maintaining productivity.

As the safety champion for the building, you will train teams, analyze accident data, and drive improvements.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year in an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) related field OR a Bachelor’s degree in an EHS-related background OR 6 months experience performing in a safety-related role within Amazon.
Knowledge of OSHA regulations specifically 29 CFR 1910.
Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacity.
Experience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving security and/or personnel issues in the workplace.

Responsibilities

Lead safety program excellence through data-driven strategies and daily audits.
Investigate incidents and perform risk assessments to prevent injuries.
Deliver safety training that promotes a proactive culture and continuous improvements.
Advocate for associate wellbeing and build partnerships across all levels of the organization.
