Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist (WHSS) to drive safety program excellence and foster a proactive safety culture at our West Columbia, SC site. You will lead audits, investigations, and training to safeguard associates and support efficient operations.

The role emphasizes data-driven safety strategies, cross-functional collaboration, and readiness for emergencies, including first aid and CPR where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year in an environmental Health & Safety (EHS) related field OR a bachelor’s degree in EHS-related background OR 6 months experience in a safety role within Amazon.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations specifically 29 CFR 1910.
• Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacity.
• Experience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving security and/or personal issues in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
• Develop and deliver engaging safety training for associates.
• Collaborate with leadership to drive safety culture and continuous improvement.
