Job summary

Discord seeks an Analytics Manager to lead the SCAR team, safeguarding platform integrity by detecting and disrupting abuse through automated systems and live incident response. The role reports to the Head of Safety Intelligence and Automation and requires strong leadership across data teams andSafety functions.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $220,000 to $275,000 plus equity and benefits, with compensation reflecting role, experience, and training.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of people management experience leading technical teams.
• 4+ years in a Trust & Safety domain (fraud, spam, scams, or high-volume threats).
• Fluency in SQL and/or Python for data investigation and pattern analysis.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills with measurement and experimentation expertise.
• Experience driving automation adoption in operations or incident response workflows.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration to translate technical topics for leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of data analysts, scientists, and researchers investigating active threats.
• Define a strategic roadmap to disrupt high-impact abuse operations through research and experimentation.
• Collaborate with safety ML teams to improve models via threat signals for automated countermeasures.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Policy, Legal, and Revenue for safety-by-design decisions.
