Streetplus is seeking Safety Ambassadors in San Francisco, CA to serve as a visible uniformed presence, deter unwanted behavior, engage with the community, and keep the area safe and welcoming. This active outdoor role involves walking long distances and interacting with the public on every shift.

The position offers full-time hours, Sunday through Thursday shifts, and pay at $24 per hour. Start date is ASAP, with duties including patrolling, reporting, and community outreach in an urban setting.

Competenze

• Minimum 2 years of experience in security, loss prevention, law enforcement, or military
• Ability to de-escalate confrontational or high-stress situations
• High school diploma or GED
• Must be able to walk continuously during an 8-hour shift

Overview

Streetplus is a national provider of contracted services to the improvement district industry, specializing in clean, safe and friendly services. Streetplus provides positive results that improvement districts demand, but don't always receive from other contractors.We have experience, knowledge and processes structured to achieve results that will exceed customer expectations. Additional services include safety and security, hospitality, social outreach support, maintenance and cleaning, landscaping and technology.

JOB SUMMARY

• Pay: $24/hour
• Employment Type: Full-Time (40 hrs/week)
• Shift: Sundays 7AM - 3:30PM; Monday to Thursday 6AM - 2:30PM
• Location: Along Polk Street, foot patrol in the community
• Start Date: ASAP

You’ll serve as a visible, uniformed presence in your assigned zone — deterring unwanted behavior, engaging with the community, and keeping the area safe and welcoming for everyone who lives, works, and visits. This is an active, outdoor role where your presence alone makes a difference every shift. Expect to frequently interact with members of public and walk several miles throughout your shift.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Patrol & Safety

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We hire for professionalism, integrity, and attitude. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field and knows how to de-escalate tense situations with calm, confident communication. If you're dependable, approachable, and can keep your composure when it matters most, we want to hear from you.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in security, loss prevention, law enforcement, or military
• Demonstrated ability to de-escalate confrontational or high-stress situations
• High school diploma or GED
• Physical ability to walk continuously throughout an 8-hour shift with breaks in accordance with local laws
• Lift up to 25 lbs
• Work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions
• Basic smartphone proficiency
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Candidates must undergo a background check and drug screening prior to employment

Preferred (not required)

• Customer service or hospitality experience
• Valid driver's license
