Job summary

Streetplus is seeking a friendly Cleaning Ambassador to patrol Downtown Worcester, pick up litter, remove graffiti, and keep sidewalks clean and inviting. This part-time role requires outdoor work in all weather and provides an employer-provided uniform.

No prior experience is necessary as we offer extensive on-the-job training. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, and be able to walk an 8-hour shift; background checks and drug screening apply.

Streetplus is a national provider of contracted services to the improvement district industry, specializing in clean, safe and friendly services. Streetplus provides positive results that improvement districts demand, but don’t always receive from other contractors.We have experience, knowledge and processes structured to achieve results that will exceed customer expectations.

JOB SUMMARY

• Pay: $19/hour paid bi-weekly
• Start Date: ASAP
• Employment Type: Part-time (16hrs)
• Location: Downtown Worcester
• Requirements: work outdoors in variable weather conditions

You’ll patrol an assigned zone outdoors in uniform (employer provided), keeping the public spaces clean and inviting while serving as a welcoming presence for pedestrians. Most of your day is litter collection and graffiti removal — physical, active work where you can see the difference you’re making in your community. We clean sidewalks, alleys, gutters, planters, etc., but we do not clean inside of private businesses.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Cleaning & Maintenance

• Patrol your zone with a rolling supply cart, pan and broom, and cleaning supplies
• Pick up litter, fast food bags, and debris from sidewalks, gutters, and alleys
• Clean and sanitize odorous areas, including human and pet waste
• Remove graffiti, stickers, posters, and handbills from light posts, trash cans, news boxes, and other public infrastructure
• Assist with minor landscaping, pressure washing, and special projects as needed

Community & Reporting

• Greet pedestrians, offer directions, and assist visitors, residents, and workers
• Log daily tasks and completed work using a company provided smartphone

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license
• Able to walk continuously throughout an 8-hour shift with breaks in accordance with local laws
• Lift up to 25 lbs
• Work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions
• Basic smartphone proficiency
• Undergo a background check and drug screening prior to employment.

Preferred (not required)

• Prior janitorial, landscaping, or outdoor maintenance experience
