Job summary

La Vida Llena in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Safety Aide to support a safe and secure community through observation, reporting, and resident-focused service. You will screen residents and visitors, patrol common areas, monitor alarms, and assist during emergencies with accurate logs and professional conduct.

The role requires at least 2 years in security, knowledge of alarm systems, and CPR/AED and First Aid, with on-the-job training to complete certifications within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security experience in building or grounds.
• Knowledge of alarm and communication systems and ability to coordinate with Police and Fire.
• Ability to complete forms accurately and maintain logs.
• Formal training or experience in self-defense.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification upon hire or within 90 days of hire.

Overview

Our welcoming campus offers resort‑style amenities and a full continuum of care including Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Skilled Nursing. We are seeking a Safety Aide to support a safe and secure community through observation, reporting, and resident‑focused service.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Provide general safety and security through observation, monitoring, and reporting to promote a safe and secure environment across the community.
  
• Perform gatekeeper duties by screening and directing residents, guests, vendors, contractors, and visitors as needed.
  
• Conduct periodic patrols of common and public areas, on foot or by vehicle, and check security functions during rounds.
  
• Monitor surveillance equipment, fire alarm systems, and emergency call systems, responding to alarms and escalating issues appropriately.
  
• Assist during resident or employee emergencies, provide staff escorts during non‑regular business hours, maintain accurate logs and reports, and perform other duties as assigned.

Pay: $15.38 - $18.58 / hr DOE

About You:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in building or grounds security, or a related field.
• Knowledge of alarm and communication systems and ability to communicate with Police and Fire departments.
  
• Ability to complete forms accurately and maintain detailed logs and reports.
  
• Formal training or experience in self‑defense methods.
  
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification upon hire or within 90 days of hire.
