Job summary

Pilbara Minerals Limited is seeking a Safety Advisor for our Pilbara operation. The role focuses on delivering professional safety services, managing the Mine Safety Management System and ensuring health and safety across the site.

We offer a permanent full-time position and a 12-month fixed-term role with an 8:6 FIFO roster from Perth or DIDO in the Pilbara region. Key responsibilities include maintaining safety systems, coaching leaders, conducting audits and risk assessments, and facilitating

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate IV Workplace Health & Safety.
• Knowledge of statutory safety requirements relevant to processes.
• Advanced PC skills (Excel/Word).
• Experience in Incident Investigation (ICAM certification preferred).

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Health and Safety Management Systems.
• Assist frontline leaders in developing Health and Safety knowledge.
• Review and moderate incidents.
• Coach workforce on safety management.
• Maintain INX database.
• Conduct general workplace inspections.
• Follow up on actions in INX.
• Interface with internal and external parties (Contractor Representatives, Shutdowns, Projects Team).
• Coach Operational leads on Safety interactions (MCC, CCV, PTO, FI).
• Conduct Health and Safety audits.
• Facilitate risk assessments.
• Support Health and Safety initiatives and improve safety management processes.
• Coach personnel on safety tools (Take 5, Job Hazard Analysis, area inspections).
• Assist in delivering Health and Safety training packages site-wide.
